Ancient House Museum of Thetford Life
This magnificent timber framed Tudor merchant's house, set within a few miles of the Elveden Estate was donated to the town of Thetford by Prince Frederick Duleep Singh, the son of Maharajah Duleep Singh the last King of the Sikh Kingdom.
The museum's dedicated exhibition reflecting the close association of Duleep Singh's family with East Anglia includes, the bible given to the young Maharajah by Lord Dalhousie, and the gravestone of Maharani Jind Kaur.
