Golden Throne of Ranjit Singh
Most likely made by the goldsmith Hafez Muhammed Multani in 1818 to commemorate the year when Multan finally fell to the Sikhs, it has come to be associated with the city of Lahore where Ranjit Singh had his court. Following his death, it was shipped to London in 1853 for the East India company's Museum before being later transferred to the Victoria and Albert Museum, where it has remained ever since.
