Scottish Sikh Heritage Trail

On the 4th of August 1865 the Maharajah Duleep Singh’s wife Bamba gave birth to their first son. The couple were in Scotland at the time as Duleep Singh had taken the heavily pregnant Bamba there to relax while he took part in some sport.

Tragically their son passed away the day following his birth. He was buried in Kenmore Churchyard next to Loch Tay in Perthshire. Visitors can still see the gravestone there today.
