Hidden away amidst the National Archives are the original records of the migrant journeys and military service of the first Sikh settlers in Britain.
Tour the archives which holds original documents including war diaries that belonged to Sikh soldiers and original passenger lists of Sikh migrants. Learn how to access colonial, military and family history records and how to use the catalogue with records expert Abi Husainy. Learn about conservation of original documents and how to handle them with conservation specialists, see original documents on display.
